Every home has a story.
This is its book.

Photograph a model plate, get the manual, track the warranty, and hand the next owner a home that explains itself.

1

Snap the plate

Every appliance and system has a model plate. One photo is all it takes — the app reads the model number right off it and fills it in for you to check.

2

Get the manual

We match the brand and model to the owner's manual and keep it with the item, forever handy.

3

Hand it over

Selling one day? Choose what carries forward and the next owner inherits a home with instructions.

House stuff

Furnace, water heater, appliances — the things that stay when the house sells. These build the handover package.

My stuff

TVs, stereos, tablets — the things that leave with you. Tracked for warranties, receipts and serial numbers.

Tester note: this is a private test build. You create a HomeBook account on our server in Toronto, Canada, and you agree to the Privacy Policy before the account is made. Your home is saved to your account, so you can sign in on any phone or browser and pick it up there. Two things reach Terry, the person running this test, by email through a form service. Creating an account sends your name, email address and account type (homeowner or realtor). And when you tap “Request the manual” on an item, that sends your name and email address plus the item's name, category, brand, model and serial so the manual hunt can start. Please don't use a password you use anywhere else.
